Description

The client is seeking a Vice President to help drive long-term growth and expansion within an established market presence for precision grinding machinery. As part of a dynamic executive team, you will shape strategic revenue initiatives and contribute to business development through leadership in industrial or B2B capital equipment sales.

This role typically requires a minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial or B2B capital equipment sales, including a proven record of exceeding targets, as well as at least 5+ years in a senior sales leadership or management position. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred. Relevant background may include selling CNC machine tools, grinding machines, or other precision manufacturing equipment, alongside strong leadership, strategic planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools is expected, along with the ability to understand technical specifications and communicate value to engineering and procurement audiences.

You will develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin goals, lead and mentor a multi-state sales and operating team across sales, operations, service, and support functions, and manage relationships with key clients, partners, and distributors. Responsibilities include overseeing sales forecasting, setting KPIs, managing departmental budgeting, reporting performance to executive leadership, optimizing sales processes, implementing best practices for pipeline management, and designing and delivering sales training for complex equipment and technical solution selling. Travel up to 30–40% for client meetings and trade shows is expected, and relocation to Grand Rapids, Michigan is required.
