the client is seeking an experienced Head of Construction Development to lead strategic growth and expand market presence across public and private sector projects. In this senior leadership role, you will strengthen client relationships and support long-term construction development objectives, bringing extensive industry knowledge and a strong business development track record.

You will lead business development and growth initiatives, build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and support proposals, estimating, and project pursuit strategies. You will provide executive oversight for construction and field services projects by reviewing budgets, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring safety, regulatory, and contractual compliance, and mentoring and developing project and field teams. You will also collaborate with executive leadership on construction strategy and represent the client at industry events and conferences.

Qualified candidates typically bring 20+ years of construction, civil, environmental, or related industry experience, along with senior leadership experience in construction management or professional services. The role requires proven success driving business growth and repeat client work, strong understanding of public and private sector delivery methods, and excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, a Professional Engineer California license is preferred, and a valid California driver’s license is required; the role offers hybrid/remote flexibility with an expectation to live within driving distance of Bay Area job sites, and pre-employment background, drug/alcohol screening, and physical requirements apply.
