Opportunity Details

The General Counsel for the client will provide legal counsel and support to the President and executive leadership team for the organization, including FedExForum, Grind City Media, and the Memphis Hustle. The ideal candidate will have a background in corporate law, with experience in professional sports or entertainment industries preferred. Responsibilities include advising on corporate governance matters, drafting transaction documents, managing litigation, and identifying and addressing legal risks to support the organization's strategic initiatives.
The GC will work closely with internal stakeholders to provide timely and pragmatic legal advice, ensuring alignment with internal policies and legal requirements. They will also be responsible for managing legal processes related to arena operations, government interactions, and various agreements with third-party partners and providers. Additionally, the GC will develop and lead internal corporate compliance programs, implement risk management strategies, and drive operational improvements to support company goals and legal functions.
