Description

The client is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic oversight of key functional areas of the congregation. This role will involve ensuring a powerful Jewish community experience through operational excellence and member engagement, as well as providing leadership in areas such as office administration, finance, human resources, technology, communications, development, events, safety & security, facilities, and membership. The Executive Director will supervise a team of direct reports and proactively address operational challenges to support congregational growth and strategic initiatives. Additionally, they will serve as the primary point person for membership and collaborate with staff and lay leaders to enhance the overall membership experience.

As a senior leader at The client, the Executive Director will contribute to guiding the organization's strategic direction, decision-making, and goals. They will serve as a thought partner to senior leaders and drive cross-functional coordination with all aspects of temple life, such as education, engagement, and worship. The Executive Director will also support the planning and execution of Board of Trustees and Leadership Council Meetings, as well as oversee the management and usage of member database to identify leadership and engagement opportunities for members. Additionally, they will foster a warm and caring environment for congregants, prospective members, lay leaders, volunteers, and staff to feel welcomed, respected, nurtured, and appreciated.

The Executive Director should bring 15+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role at a growing organization. They should possess business acumen and operations know-how to ensure sound oversight of key functional areas and be able to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced, busy organization.
