The client is seeking a Director of Software Quality Assurance to lead and elevate software testing and quality practices. The role will review QA strategies, identify and challenge gaps in test planning, and help teams establish practical, scalable QA plans. It will also shape long-term QA strategy, refine standards, and ensure best practices are adopted across the organization.
Key responsibilities include providing training and coaching on QA methodologies, clarifying accountability, and reinforcing quality standards to build a culture where quality is owned by everyone. The role will oversee the use of test management and defect management tools, and will use data analytics to uncover trends and drive continuous improvement in QA processes.
The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience in software quality assurance leadership roles, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, test management tools, and defect tracking systems. Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to influence organizational standards and promote QA best practices. A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
