The Director, Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource services within the client. This includes mentoring district leaders on HR issues such as recruitment, succession planning, policy development, health and safety, and employee relations. The Director also leads labour relations activities, including collective bargaining, and collaborates with internal and external partner groups. They work closely with the BC Public School Employers Association on provincial bargaining and other HR issues, while aligning with best practices across the district.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to elevate the HR department to the next level within the client. With a strong strategic plan in place, proactive relationships with union partners, and an engaged team, the Director will focus on building HR capacity district-wide. Emphasis will be placed on wellness and safety, recruitment and staffing, and mentoring the HR team to continue fostering a customer service-oriented culture.
