Opportunity Details

The client is seeking a Vice President of Environment, Health & Safety to be based in Moncton, New Brunswick. Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President will be responsible for developing and managing EHS programs to ensure safety, compliance, and sustainability across the organization. This role involves working closely with the owner, executive team, and stakeholders in Canada and the US to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise.
Responsibilities of the role include developing and executing EHS vision, strategy, and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing audits and risk assessments, and promoting a safety culture. The Vice President will also lead incident investigations, analyze EHS performance metrics, guide sustainability initiatives, oversee ESG reporting, and manage disability programs and employee health initiatives. Building and leading a high-performing EHS team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and advising leadership on EHS matters are also key aspects of the role.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. They should have 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, energy, or related sectors, and experience with ISO standards and EHS management platforms. Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM are highly desirable for this position.
