About Ms. Ucksche

Thalia Sachi Ucksche is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Healthcare Practice. Based in Germany, she brings functional expertise spanning corporate strategy, marketing and branding, drug development, academic research and the startup healthcare circuit. With rich experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals and neuroscience, including the co-founding of a digital biopharma startup, Thalia brings an entrepreneurial spirit, deep knowledge of the healthcare industry and a keen business understanding to her work with clients. An inclusive leader with extensive startup and corporate strategy experience Thalia comes to Spencer Stuart from Oliver Wyman, the global management consulting firm, where she worked as a principal in the Health and Life Sciences Practice. Previously, she held senior strategy and global new product roles for Novartis and Sandoz, two pharmaceuticals giants, with international stints including three years in Australia. She began her career in research and academia in Germany and North America. After her post-doctorate research, she joined McKinsey as an adviser on pharma and organizational design. Thalia is co-founder of Bioseet GmbH, a digital biopharma startup that assists with partnering deals for innovative medicines, biosimilars and generics. She set up Bioseet’s platform concept and market entry strategy, lead to the successful launch of three platforms. Thalia earned her M.S. degree in biochemistry from the University of Regensburg, and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. She completed postdoctoral research at Columbia University’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
