The client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to oversee a multi-disciplinary team working with complex adolescents, including those involved in or at risk of offending. This role involves providing high-quality statutory services and interventions through trauma-informed, relationship-based practice. Responsibilities include managing practitioners responsible for youth justice assessments, safeguarding, care planning, and supporting children in need, in care, or at risk of harm.
As the Team Manager for Youth Justice & Adolescent Services, you will lead and supervise a team delivering social work services for youth justice and adolescents. This includes overseeing high-risk, multi-agency plans and youth offending interventions, driving practice improvement, and ensuring compliance with statutory duties. Building strong partnerships with various agencies such as police, education, health, courts, and community organizations is also a key aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate for this position is a qualified social worker with significant frontline and management experience, registered with Social Work England. They should have expertise in youth justice, adolescent safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice, as well as strong leadership, partnership, and communication skills. The ability to manage performance, risk, and quality in a fast-paced environment is essential for success in this role.
