The client is seeking a part-time Senior Accountant to support their Administration and Finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for monitoring financial inflows and outflows, ensuring compliance with fiscal and accounting guidelines for non-profit organizations in the United States. This includes preparing and submitting tax forms to US government entities and maintaining accurate financial records. The Senior Accountant will also assist in designing and preparing the accounting catalogue for the foundation's operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license, a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. Knowledge of United States GAAP and experience working with non-profit organizations is required. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish are necessary, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online data storage platforms. Experience with SAP enterprise resource planning software is desirable.

Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant include overseeing the foundation's accounting records and operations, optimizing procedures, and enhancing financial workflows. The Senior Accountant will also support in the development of reports for banking, government, and donor entities, as well as assist in the end-of-month and annual closing processes. Compliance with GAAP, updating accounting policies and procedures, and supporting the start-up of the foundation's operations are key components of this role.
