Opportunity Details

The client is seeking an Interim SEND Tribunal Officer for a 3-month contract in North London. The role involves leading on complex casework, representing the client at SEND tribunals, and shaping service delivery. Responsibilities include defending the appropriateness of EHCPs at hearings, managing appeal cases, advising colleagues on legal frameworks, and preparing responses to complaints and enquiries. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing SEND casework, a strong understanding of SEN legislation, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and familiarity with relevant IT systems.
Candidates must have experience in tribunal and mediation contexts, knowledge of EHC planning and multi-agency collaboration, and the ability to work well under pressure. An Enhanced DBS check is required, along with familiarity with the Equality Act and safeguarding frameworks. Previous experience using the Synergy system and a professional or degree-level qualification in Education, Social Care, or Health are also preferred.
