The National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) is seeking a President & CEO to lead the organization in providing expert advice to government leaders in building and managing more effective, efficient, equitable, accountable, and transparent organizations. Established in 1967, NAPA is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan organization chartered by Congress in 1984. The President & CEO will work with the Board, Fellows, staff, and key partners to develop a strategic approach to achieve the organization's goals of impact and advance its mission. Responsibilities include visionary and strategic leadership, people and operational leadership, external relations, revenue generation, and fundraising.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and visionary leader with a strong ability to lead strategic planning and align resources to organizational goals. They should excel at building relationships across stakeholders, communities, and levels of government, and have a demonstrated track record of fundraising and business development. The candidate should also possess strong business acumen, financial management experience, and a commitment to public service. The compensation for this role is expected to range from $350,000-$450,000, with a comprehensive benefits package.
