Description

The client is seeking a President / Chief Operating Officer to oversee branch operations and drive operational performance for their essential home services company. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, this individual will manage Regional Operations teams, General Managers, and various operational functions such as fleet management, purchasing, marketing, and call center operations. The President / COO will work closely with the executive team and Board to ensure consistent service delivery, budgeted growth, and a performance-oriented culture across all locations.

Key responsibilities for the President / COO include providing hands-on operational leadership to branch General Managers, developing effective P&L management strategies, and recruiting high-performing teams. This individual will also be involved in profit improvement initiatives, post-acquisition integration, and quarterly Board meetings. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in operations management within a rapidly growing, geographically dispersed residential services platform, preferably in a private equity-backed environment. Strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a history of building effective cultures are essential for success in this role.

The President / COO must be comfortable working in the field with a technician workforce, establishing operational processes and KPIs across multiple locations, and managing post-acquisition integration. Experience with organizations such as Nexstar or similar best practices is preferred, along with knowledge of M&A due diligence. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required to effectively build relationships with branch personnel, service technicians, and key stakeholders.
