With more than 15 years of experience in executive search, Olaf Schwan is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Munich office and a member of the firm’s global Financial Officer and Technology, Media & Telecommunications practices, focusing on media and entertainment. Deep media expertise Olaf’s focus and expertise in the media and entertainment sector includes publishing, broadcasting, TV and feature films production and all areas of the digital spectrum, including online, mobile, e-commerce, social media and ad networks. He has successfully conducted numerous domestic and cross-border searches at all levels, with functional focus on senior-level positions in general management, sales, marketing, product management and finance. In particular, he works with a range of venture capital and private equity firms to help their portfolio companies identify digital talent in the competitive German marketplace. Olaf also has strong search expertise in the financial officer functional area across diverse industries. Olaf joined Spencer Stuart from another global executive search firm in 1999. Prior to his career in executive search, Olaf pursued a career in the hotel industry, gaining experience both in hotel operations as well as sales and marketing. Olaf holds a degree in business administration. He is fluent in German, English and French.
