The Royal Agricultural Society of England is seeking a Non-Executive Chair to lead and inspire the Trustees and Chief Executive in fulfilling the charity's objectives and overseeing the delivery of its strategy. The ideal candidate will act as a visible ambassador for the Society within the complex stakeholder environment of Agriculture in England, fostering sustainable development and innovation. They will also oversee the management of the Society's assets for optimal impact, including property, events, and membership growth.

The successful candidate will be a known and respected leader in the Agricultural sector with strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for an ambassadorial role. They should possess outstanding leadership and management skills, potentially gained through executive roles, and have experience in delivering strategies and working hands-on with a small team. The role is expected to require approximately 30 days per year, and a Chairs allowance will be provided, including reasonable travel expenses.
