The Michigan Area Director position is responsible for implementing fundraising and program initiatives within the assigned market area for the client. Reporting to the Vice President, Central Division, the Area Director will work from a home-based office and collaborate with chapter(s) in the area. Duties include implementing fundraising events, survivor programs, education programs, and awareness initiatives, as well as developing a business plan and budget for the market area. The Area Director will also be responsible for volunteer management, building relationships with community leaders, working with media for publicity, and fiscal management.

Candidates for the Michigan Area Director position should have a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of two years of experience in nonprofit special event fundraising, and be highly organized and detail-oriented. Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills are required for this role. The ability to travel as needed for work meetings or events is also necessary.
