About Ms. Sharp

Michelle Sharp is a member of the firm’s North American Human Resources Practice and leads initiatives for the practice in Canada. She is also a memberofthe Global Consumer Practice and works on assignments that span many functional areas. Michelle is a senior leader with more than 20 years ofcombined management consulting and industry experience spanning all areas ofhuman resources. This diversity ofexperience enables her to quickly understand an organization’s context and needs, and identify the leadership attributes needed to succeed in a role. Broad human resources experience Before joining Spencer Stuart, Michelle was vice president oftotal rewards and HR global services for PSP Investments, one ofCanada’s largest pension investment managers. She led a diverse team ofprofessionals in the areas ofcompensation, pension, benefits, wellness, payroll, mobility, employee experience and analytics. Earlier, she was a partner within EY’s People Advisory Services Practice, where she assisted global organizations with the design and implementation ofHR strategies and programs aimed at improving efficiency while positively contributing to employee engagement. Prior to that, Michelle was with BRP, the Canada-based recreational vehicle manufacturer, where she led the company’s global human resourcesshared servicescenter. At an earlier stage ofher career, Michelle held human resourcesroles with progressing levels ofresponsibility at top Canadian corporations, such as Bell Canada and Canadian National Railway. Michelle earned her MBA from HEC Montreal and her Bachelor ofCommerce from McGill University. She is fluent in French and English. Michelle Sharp is a member of our North American human resources practice and leads its Canadian operations. She is also a member of our global consumer practice and participates in engagements across a wide range of business sectors. Michelle is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of corporate and consulting experience in human resources. This wealth of experience allows her to quickly grasp an organization's context and needs and identify the skills required.leadershipnecessary for the success of a given function. Extensive experience in human resources Before joining Spencer Stuart, Michelle worked as Vice President, Total Rewards andservicesGlobal HR for PSP Investments, one of the largest pension fund managers in Canada. There, she led a diverse team of professionals in the areas of compensation, pension plans, benefits, wellness, payroll, mobility, employee experience and analytics. Previously, Michelle was a partner at EY, in their human resources consulting practice, where she collaborated with global organizations to develop and implement HR strategies and programs, aiming to optimize their effectiveness while encouraging employee engagement and retention. Previously, Michelle worked at BRP, a Canadian recreational vehicle manufacturer, where she headed the global center forservices shared in human resources. Early in her career, Michelle held various human resources positions, with increasing levels of responsibility over time, with major Canadian companies such as Bell Canada and Canadian National. Michelle completed an MBA at HEC Montréal and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
