Michael Partington is a senior member of Spencer Stuart’s Financial Services Practice, with a focus on insurance. He is also a member of the firm’s CEO and Board Practice. Michael brings more than 25 years of professional services and recruiting experience to his role. Financial services and search expertise Before joining Spencer Stuart, Michael led the recruiting and talent management efforts of Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund. Michael was formerly a partner at McKinsey & Company in Boston, where he led the firm’s global recruiting efforts and worked with insurance clients across the Americas, Europe and Asia. At McKinsey, he served financial institutions on issues of strategy, organization and operating performance, focusing on insurance and investment management. Michael obtained his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He graduated with honors from the University of Cambridge with a bachelor of arts in law.
