Johanna (Jo) Neuman is a Principal at JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice. Jo brings over a decade of experience dedicated to health and life sciences. She focuses on recruiting senior executives and board members for innovative companies. Before joining JM Search, Jo was with Catalyst Advisors, a retained executive search firm specializing in human therapeutics companies across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and venture-backed company creation. At Catalyst, she partnered closely with clients to establish their C-suite leadership and board governance, supporting organizations at critical stages of growth and innovation. Prior to Catalyst Advisors, Jo served as a Consultant on the Life Sciences team at GLG, where she helped clients make informed strategic decisions across business development and licensing, brand marketing, protocol and market assessments, go-to-market planning, pricing research, and patient journey analysis. Jo began her career in academic medicine as an M.D./Ph.D. candidate at Johns Hopkins University, focusing in neuroscience and neurology. During her time there, she conducted research on a global hemorrhagic stroke trial. Jo earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Muhlenberg College. She is based in St. Louis and, outside of work, enjoys spending time with her family, staying active through hiking, running, and boxing, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen.
