Our client, Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center (MCAEC) is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Head of School. The ideal candidate will have a clear devotion to the education of girls and young women, with a focus on transforming the lives of underrepresented students through a rigorous, independent middle school education. Emphasis is placed on a skills-based curriculum that includes language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, world religions, and world language, with a commitment to implementing 21st-century skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.

Founded in 1993, Mother Caroline Academy is the only tuition-free, private all-girls school in Boston, serving students from traditionally under-resourced neighborhoods. The school has a dedicated faculty and staff who are committed to academic excellence, integrity, and cultural, religious, and ethnic inclusion. The Head of School will work collaboratively with the school community, serving as a role model for students, a trusted team member for staff and faculty, and an ally to students' families. This full-time position requires significant time, attention, commitment, and energy, with the Head of School reporting to the Board of Trustees to develop and implement policies that guide the school's mission and vision.
