The HCV Director in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Project-Based Voucher programs. This includes supervising operations staff, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and agency policies, managing contracts, budgets, and reporting for program performance and compliance. The Director will work closely with leadership to develop and implement strategic program improvements, represent the program at community events and meetings, and manage community and client relations. Additionally, they will conduct program evaluations, implement updates based on legislative or policy changes, and provide guidance on complex cases, complaints, and landlord/participant disputes.
Qualified candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of experience in public or private housing management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role. They should have a strong knowledge of federal housing programs, particularly HCV and PBV, excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Yardi Voyager/Rent Caf is a plus, and certification in HCV Proficiency is required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
