The Founding Director of School Operations at MESA Charter High School will report directly to the Principal and oversee the non-instructional functions of the school. This includes managing admissions, facilities, student records, food services, Human Resources, vendors, academic scheduling, and grades. The Director of Operations will be part of the Leadership team and will supervise the operations team as it grows. Responsibilities include maintaining facility systems, managing classroom spaces, ensuring school environment readiness and safety, budget development and adherence, standardized testing oversight, scheduling and programming classes, managing academic data, overseeing contracted services, student records, compliance reporting, and human resources administration.

The ideal candidate for the Founding Director of School Operations position will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Master's degree or other advanced degree. They should have 3-5 years of experience in operations leadership roles, specifically in NYC school operations. The candidate should be a self-starter with a strong sense of initiative, personal accountability, and the ability to foster accountability in others. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as well as strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a track record of leading and developing employees and teams. The Director of Operations will be responsible for all aspects of the client's operations and must work collaboratively across multiple campuses and teams.
