Our client is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization in its next phase of growth and development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, overseeing operations, expanding fundraising efforts, and fostering partnerships to enhance impact. They must have a deep understanding of the US reproductive rights landscape, nonprofit management, fundraising, and media operations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will ensure the organization's success, provide strategic clarity for future growth, and lead financial and revenue efforts to sustain editorial and advocacy ambitions.
Key responsibilities include articulating strategic planning and vision, strengthening our client as a leading voice in reproductive and sexual health, rights, and justice, and ensuring excellence in journalism. The Executive Director will also develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivate relationships with donors, generate new revenue sources, and represent the organization at public events and conferences. They will work closely with the Board, lead organizational transformation, recruit and retain a diverse team, and foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nonprofit leadership, journalism experience, fundraising expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a fully remote team effectively. Compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary range of $180,000 - $200,000 and a generous benefits package.
