The client, located in El Cajon, California, is a community school and dual-language institution founded in 2005. The school offers a comprehensive K-8 curriculum that emphasizes academic excellence, cultural appreciation, and community engagement. The Executive Director is responsible for leading the organization's strategic vision, operational excellence, and academic performance to achieve its mission of providing high-quality education. The ED collaborates with instructional leaders and senior staff to ensure the school remains a leader in student achievement and community engagement.
Key responsibilities of the Executive Director include strategic leadership and vision, governance and compliance, academic excellence, human capital and team development, operations and financial management, and community engagement and development. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors to implement and update the strategic plan, drive the vision and core values of the school, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ED also partners with instructional leaders to set academic goals, foster a data-driven culture, and advocate for innovative teaching practices.
The Executive Director oversees all aspects of the school's operations, including academic programs, financial management, and facilities. They develop a comprehensive human capital strategy to recruit, develop, and retain diverse and talented staff, and lead the development and oversight of the annual budget. The ED also serves as the primary ambassador of the school, fostering relationships with families, staff, community partners, and external stakeholders.
