The client, a luxurious resort and spa in Southern California, is looking for a dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing to lead their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive revenue growth across all areas of the hotel, including rooms, catering, food & beverage, and marketing. They will work closely with on-property leaders and regional support to create annual multi-year commercial strategy plans and ensure alignment with the brand's solutions for key market segments.
Key responsibilities for this role include overseeing sales, events, and marketing channels to achieve revenue goals, collaborating with brand e-commerce teams to enhance B2B marketing and digital presence, and establishing optimal business mix and pricing strategies. The Director of Sales and Marketing will also be in charge of recruiting and retaining sales and marketing team members, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with global sales, regional support, community groups, and third-party travel partners. The successful candidate will have at least five years of experience in hotel sales, catering, or marketing, with a minimum of four years in a leadership role at a full-service hotel.
