Description

The Director of Public Information position with our client involves leading communication efforts to meet the needs of the County's customers. This role includes developing and administering communication strategies, overseeing department projects and personnel, and managing the division's budget and business plan. The Director will also work on enhancing the County's online presence, building relationships with community resources and partner agencies, and participating in strategic planning for communication channels.

The ideal candidate for this position will provide leadership and guidance in communication and public relations, participate in regional and national discussions, and ensure that the County's approach to communication is comprehensive and innovative. Responsibilities include directing and monitoring staff, evaluating organization and stakeholder relationships, speaking in public, managing information distribution, analyzing public relations materials, and developing strategic plans. The Director will also plan and organize media events, administer budgets, and oversee the execution of communication strategies.
