Description

The Director of Practice & Quality Assurance position in Moncton, New Brunswick is with the regulatory body for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the province. The main responsibility of the Director is to oversee the Quality Assurance program at the client, working towards achieving strategic goals and supporting the leadership team. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, assisting with professional accountability issues, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy practice standards and policies.

In addition to corporate services and professional accountability, the Director is also responsible for maintaining a high level of knowledge in pharmacy practice standards and policies. This includes facilitating meetings, developing practice directives, and identifying areas for improvement in quality assurance processes. The Director plays a key role in overseeing the Continuous Professional Development program, creating resources for professional development, and contributing to remediation plans for pharmacy professionals when necessary.

The Director of Practice & Quality Assurance is also responsible for providing leadership to Practice Advisors, fostering a positive and engaging work culture, and building trust with stakeholders. This role involves acting as a spokesperson for the client, participating in health sector activities, and maintaining effective relationships at both the provincial and national level.
