Description

The client is seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications to lead efforts in promoting the region's industrial past and its impact on education, the economy, and quality of life in southwestern Pennsylvania. Reporting to the President and CEO, the Director will be responsible for developing and delivering communications to various stakeholders through web and social media channels, print materials, events, and museum curation. The role involves collaborating with program managers and external partners to create a comprehensive communications and stakeholder engagement plan, as well as a sales and marketing plan to increase revenue generation and community engagement.

The Director will work out of the client's headquarters in Homestead, PA, as well as in the field supporting experiences at various locations. Responsibilities include developing and leading communications and marketing efforts that align with strategic initiatives and development goals, supervising the tourism department, and managing business administration tasks such as budgeting, contracting, and market analysis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic communications and marketing planning, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and demonstrated relationship-building skills.
