Opportunity Details

Our client is seeking a Director of Institutional Relations to lead the Development team in raising funds from individual and institutional supporters. This role will involve developing strategies to grow revenues from institutions, focusing on building corporate giving and securing new foundation supporters. The Director will also oversee fundraising efforts for the annual gala dinner, manage a subset of existing institutional donors, and collaborate with the full Development team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in raising major gifts from institutions, a successful track record in fundraising, and knowledge of social justice and democracy issues. They should possess excellent writing and editing skills, be strategic and entrepreneurial, and have experience managing the work of others. The salary for this role is competitive, ranging from $155,000 to $175,000, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The position is based in New York City with occasional travel required.
