The Director, People and Culture position at the client, a sports and entertainment company in the Southeast US, reports directly to the Chief People Officer. This role involves overseeing all Human Resources functions and leading cultural inclusion and belonging initiatives. The main responsibilities include developing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, managing employee relations, and implementing programs to foster an inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of HR experience, with a focus on DEI initiatives, strong communication and leadership skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Key duties for the Director, People and Culture role include developing and implementing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and leading DEI initiatives. The successful candidate will partner with leadership to embed DEI principles into all aspects of the organization, manage employee relations issues, and develop policies to promote a positive work environment. Additionally, they will be responsible for attracting and retaining top talent, implementing succession planning programs, and overseeing performance management processes. The position requires a strategic thinker with proven ability to drive organizational change and excellent communication skills.
Requirements for the Director, People and Culture position at the client include eight or more years of progressive HR experience, with at least three years in a leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are also preferred.
