Opportunity Details

The Communications Officer will play a key role in supporting the U.S. Democracy Program and Economy & Society program areas for the client. They will work closely with program staff to develop and implement effective communications strategies that advance the client's goals in these areas. This includes supporting strategic planning, implementation, and measurement of communications approaches, as well as providing guidance on how to leverage strategic communications, narrative and culture, and healthy media ecosystems to achieve program goals.
The Communications Officer will also be responsible for helping to position the client as collaborative, knowledgeable, forward-thinking, and impactful in its institutional communications. They will work to build trust with internal and external audiences, increase credibility, and influence over the issues the client cares about. Additionally, they will support organizational learning efforts to increase cross-program communication and knowledge-sharing within the client.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, with experience in strategic planning, implementation, and measurement of communications strategies. They will have a deep understanding of how to leverage communications to advance program goals and will be committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity in their work. The Communications Officer will be a key member of the communications team, working collaboratively with program staff and colleagues to ensure the client's communications efforts are effective and impactful.
