URGE - Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity is seeking a Communications Director to lead the Communications Department of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. They will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans that engage diverse audiences, increase organization visibility, and support URGE's values and programs. The Communications Director will work closely with other Director-level staff to implement the organization's values and manage department staff.

Candidates for this position must be strong writers and editors with experience in overseeing various communications tactics, including social media campaigns, earned media strategy, marketing, website supervision, graphic design management, content development, and evaluation metrics. Experience in developing research-based messaging and talking points is a plus. Knowledge of and commitment to Reproductive Justice issues, as well as experience in the not-for-profit sector, are also required. This position will report to the Deputy Director of Programs and Policy, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team dedicated to creating a future where sexual health is valued, reproductive rights are upheld, and each body is celebrated and supported.
