The client is a survivor-led charity organization in Ireland focused on connecting survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence. They are seeking a committee member with Event Coordinator & Communications experience to join their Board. This is a voluntary position that involves supporting the organization's mission, attending meetings, and working collaboratively with staff and fellow committee members. The ideal candidate will have a background in event planning, communications, and a commitment to the survivor-led ethos of the organization.
Responsibilities for this role include overseeing the planning and execution of survivor events, coordinating logistics, and building relationships with stakeholders to enhance event impact. The Event Coordinator will also support the development of fundraising and awareness events to generate income and raise awareness for the organization's cause. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to promote events through social media and other channels.
