The client in New York is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to take charge of the annual marketing plan, strategy, and team with a focus on profitable growth. The CMO will be responsible for defining and implementing a multi-channel content and sales strategy to enhance the customer experience and drive increased sales and profit. This role involves developing marketing strategies to support customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty, as well as collaborating with Sales & E-Commerce departments to align strategies.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a senior marketing executive with 10+ years of direct marketing experience and a background in developing B2C & B2B markets. They should have strong merchandising skills and experience in managing multiple catalog titles. Experience in selling promotional products is preferred. The CMO should possess strong leadership skills, be able to develop and grow individuals and teams, and have a passion for customer advocacy. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and business software.
Overall, the CMO will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation of marketing collateral, managing a team of marketing professionals, and optimizing marketing processes for optimal results and efficiency. They will also be involved in market research, database management, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, providing strategic leadership while also being able to execute tasks in the trenches. A BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications, or a relevant field is required, with an MBA/MA being a plus.
