Mikva Challenge is seeking a Chief Program Officer to join their team in either Chicago or D.C. The organization's mission is to develop empowered, informed, and active citizens who will promote a just and equitable society. Mikva Challenge engages youth in civic education through hands-on, project-based learning to transform their civic attitudes, skills, and sense of agency. The Chief Program Officer will oversee program development and management, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, systems building, and impact measurement. The ideal candidate will be a team builder and coach, an engaging collaborator, a data and systems-oriented leader, and passionate about civic engagement and the mission of Mikva Challenge.

The Chief Program Officer will lead a team of 15-20 staff members, with 4-5 direct reports, and will be responsible for ensuring program effectiveness, fostering a collaborative work environment, building strong relationships with stakeholders, managing program budgets, developing systems for efficiency, and measuring program impact. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a data-driven approach to decision-making, a passion for civic engagement, and a commitment to the values and mission of Mikva Challenge. The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000, and Mikva Challenge offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, retirement plan, paid time off, and more.
