The client is seeking a Chief People Officer to join their team and drive innovation at one of the UK's leading hospices. The Chief People Officer will report to the Chief Executive and be responsible for ensuring that the client's people practices align with its mission, values, and long-term strategic objectives. This includes fostering a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive culture for both staff and volunteers.

Key responsibilities of the role include developing and implementing a strategic People and Culture plan, leading the Human Resources team in day-to-day operations, and providing HR insights and recommendations to the Executive team. The Chief People Officer will also lead organizational development initiatives, drive continuous improvement programs, and oversee staff wellbeing and culture initiatives. Compliance with employment legislation, risk management, and employee relations and conflict resolution are also key aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate will have experience in HR leadership, strategic planning, and organizational development. They will have a strong understanding of employment legislation and best practices in HR. The Chief People Officer will be a collaborative leader with a focus on staff wellbeing, culture transformation, and diversity and inclusion.
