Opportunity Details

The client, a nonprofit organization focused on child well-being and racial justice, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee its operations in Washington, DC. The COO will be responsible for managing a $25 million annual budget and leading the Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Facilities teams. Reporting to the President & CEO, the COO will work closely with the Leadership Team and Board of Directors to align resources and infrastructure with the organization's strategic goals.

The ideal candidate for the COO position will have a strong understanding of the client's mission and values, including justice, equity, compassion, trust, and love. They should have experience in financial management, operations, human resources, information technology, facilities, and compliance. Nonprofit management experience, leadership in a complex organization, and working with a Board and volunteer base are essential for this role. The COO will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and innovation among staff members.
