The client, a comprehensive public university in New Haven, Connecticut, is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) through a national search. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and innovative leader with a strong focus on client service, possessing a background in managing complex Information Technology (IT) environments. The CIO will report directly to the President and will be responsible for developing and implementing the IT vision, strategy, and roadmap to support the university's mission and vision.
With a history dating back over 130 years, the client has evolved from a two-year teacher training school to a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees to over 9,000 students. The institution is committed to social justice and promoting social mobility through public education. The CIO will lead the university's IT strategy, operations, and functions, overseeing the development and management of infrastructure, technologies, and data to drive digital transformation.
