Description

The client in Washington, DC is seeking a Chief Financial Operating Officer (CFOO) to lead their Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Salesforce departments. The CFOO will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the $15M nonprofit organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. They will work closely with departmental leaders to drive operational efficiency and ensure compliance with all regulations and accounting standards. Additionally, the CFOO will provide strategic leadership to enhance organizational capacity and effectiveness.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, the CFOO will report directly to the CEO and work 3 days a week in the office near UA's Washington DC office. The client, UA, is dedicated to providing young adults from historically excluded communities with the skills and opportunities needed to achieve economic mobility. The CFOO will play a crucial role in supporting UA's mission by developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's strategic priorities. They will also lead initiatives to enhance organizational capacity and drive operational excellence across all regions.

In addition to overseeing finance and operations, the CFOO will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Human Resources department, ensuring talent acquisition, retention, training, and compliance. They will also shape the organization's people strategy to support diversity, equity, and inclusion. The CFOO will be responsible for maintaining 3-5 year strategic plans, providing oversight to the IT department, and ensuring that systems and technologies support organizational goals. Overall, the CFOO will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term financial health and operational effectiveness of the client.
