The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for their construction company based in Tallahassee, FL. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing strategic guidance, and managing a small accounting team. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of financial management experience, with previous experience in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction financial management and proficiency in construction-specific accounting software is required.
Key responsibilities for the CFO include managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities, overseeing accounting and financial reporting, and providing strategic recommendations based on financial analysis. The CFO will also be responsible for managing banking relationships, credit facilities, insurance, bonding, and risk management activities. Additionally, the CFO will support operational teams by establishing job cost controls, financial performance metrics, and project profitability analysis.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
