The client is seeking a Chief Communications and Engagement Officer to lead their internal and external communications, brand, content production, and marketing functions. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and energetic leader with strong communication skills, capable of motivating dispersed teams and diverse audiences around the client's mission of advancing Indigenous Peoples guardianship. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this individual will oversee a global team and work closely with the Managing Director of Development to engage stakeholders, plan events, and develop collateral material.

Key responsibilities for the Chief Communications and Engagement Officer include serving as the client's brand and reputation manager, leading strategies to build and protect their reputation, and driving brand development to resonate with diverse stakeholders. This individual will act as a primary spokesperson for the organization, oversee media relations, and ensure the client's public image is accurately presented. Additionally, they will guide the development and implementation of global marketing, communications strategies, and campaigns to drive growth in awareness, engagement, and funding.

The Chief Communications and Engagement Officer will play a critical role in developing comprehensive, organization-wide communications and engagement strategies to increase the understanding and impact of the client's work. They will work with a dynamic and creative global team, serving as a member of the client's executive leadership team and partnering with staff throughout the organization to deliver on their mission and uphold their values in action.
