Brent Lamb is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Technology Practice. Within the Technology Practice, Brent co-leads the finance and accounting CoE. He focuses exclusively on Chief Financial Officer searches, Chief Accounting Officers, as well as VP-level direct reports for Private Equity and Venture Capital-backed SaaS and IT services businesses, largely founder-led growth-stage and lower middle market. Prior to JM Search, Brent led retained and contingent search engagements for two boutique firms in Southern California. Before transitioning into Executive Search, Brent served as a Contracts Analyst for two multi-billion-dollar corporations, BEHR Paint Corporation and the large aerospace and defense contractor Northrop Grumman. He worked closely with the corporate finance organizations to analyze, draft, and negotiate large supplier and government contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD), DARPA, the Air Force Research Lab, and the Missile Defense Agency, among others. Throughout his experience working closely with the finance organizations, it became evident of the essential need to have strategic, operational CFOs on the executive leadership team who serve as thoughtful business partners and critical players in driving organizational value and growth. Brent received his graduate degree from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is also a certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
