Singapore is widely regarded as one of the most fast-paced and exciting cities in the world. The city has become a metropolitan hub for international business development. In a recent survey that the AESC conducted of senior executives working in Singapore, a question was asked as to why Singapore was so economically successful. Respondents to the survey were allowed to enter in their own thoughts on this question, and some of the reasons given for Singapore’s success included:
Business friendly policies of the government
Political stability which has created economic growth
Singapore’s geographic location, and reputation as a safe place to do business
English speaking provides an advantage
The AESC is very excited to announce that it will be hosting two events in Singapore in June. On Tuesday, June 12, the Asia Pacific Researchers and Associates Summit will be held at The Marina Bay Sands Hotel. This will be a half-day of training for researchers and associates, with sessions to include AIRS presenting on the latest internet sourcing trends, Rachel Roche of Smart Search will be leading a session on candidate qualification and Thomas Rockstuhl of Nanyang University will present on Cultural Intelligence.

On Thursday, June 14, the AESC will be hosting the Asia Pacific Cocktail Reception at the Tower Club. This event will provide great networking opportunities and the chance to discuss talent management trends in the region. This event will take place from 5.30pm – 7.30pm. So-Young Kang from The Awaken Group will be presenting at this event on leadership and innovation.
