The client is seeking an Associate Dean for Student and Faculty Engagement at San Jose State University Library. This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing the success of students and faculty at SJSU by working closely with stakeholders, examining data, and turning insights into action. The AD will be responsible for designing and delivering scholarly-focused library services, advocating for the diverse scholarly community at SJSU, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment within the library.
The ideal candidate for this position will be self-motivated, dedicated to continuous improvement, and knowledgeable about emerging trends in libraries. They will provide leadership in the library's Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity efforts, supporting and guiding library faculty and staff throughout the research life cycle. Additionally, the AD will work to integrate anti-racism practices into library services and operations, aligning with the library's core values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. This individual will represent the library to the campus research community and serve on committees such as the RSCA Advisory Council.
