The client is seeking an Associate Dean and Director of Extension for the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. This individual will provide leadership for the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service (KCES), delivering research-based educational programs to improve the quality of life and economic well-being of the people of Kentucky. The Associate Dean will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the mission and purpose of the Cooperative Extension System, promoting individual well-being, economic opportunity, and regional development.
Reporting directly to the Vice President for Land-grant Engagement and Dean of the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the Associate Dean must demonstrate initiative, self-discipline, and the ability to positively influence others. This individual will be responsible for communicating a vision for the organization's operations and opportunities, promoting a culture of customer service, and advancing positive impact upon clientele and stakeholders. Additionally, the Associate Dean may be eligible for a secondary appointment as the client's Associate Vice President for Land-grant Engagement, aligning with the university's strategic plan to expand and enhance land-grant engagement mission across the Commonwealth.

The Vice President of Land-grant Engagement collaborates with campus and community partners to strengthen the university's role as a resource for the people of Kentucky. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in academic leadership, a commitment to community engagement, and the ability to drive innovation and positive change within the organization.
