A luxurious Utah resort is seeking an Area Director of Group Sales to lead sales and marketing strategies for the hotel. The ideal candidate will have a track record of crafting winning strategies, inspiring teams, and building relationships with customers and partners. Responsibilities include overseeing commercial strategies, developing short and long-term sales and marketing plans, and managing revenue streams in various areas such as Rooms, Catering, Food & Beverage, and Marketing. The Director will also work with Brand E-Commerce teams to establish B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, and public relations channels.
Qualifications for the position include a minimum of five years of experience in Hotel Sales, Catering, or Marketing, with at least four years of leadership experience in a Full-Service Hotel. The candidate should have strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to perform critical analysis. Responsibilities also include recruiting and retaining sales and marketing roles, developing team members, and building relationships with Global Sales, regional support, and brand teams. The Director will also engage with customers from all sales segments and maintain knowledge of competitor and market activity.
The Area Director of Group Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth and enhancing the hotel's brand through strategic marketing and sales initiatives. This senior role requires visionary leadership, strategic marketing expertise, and a strong focus on customer and partner relationships. The Director will work closely with on-property leaders and regional support to develop and implement short and long-term strategies in sales, events, and marketing channels. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for managing the departmental expense budget, recruiting and retaining sales and marketing roles, and developing team members through ongoing performance development and Career Development Plans.
