Allen Shardelow is a partner in the Heidrick & Struggles' Johannesburg office and a member of the global Consumer Markets Practice. Experience With over 25 years of experience in executive search and leadership consulting, Allen focuses on C-suite and board director positions in the FMCG, retail, media, e-commerce, and telecoms sectors, serving local and multinational clients. He has specific experience filling chief marketing officer roles. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Allen spent several years in diplomatic service with postings in London and in New York at the United Nations and was part of the South African diplomatic presence that presided over the readmittance of South Africa to the international community in 1994. Education Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, Bachelor’s Degree in Botany and Zoology Philanthropy and Service Allen has served on numerous South African government delegations at international conferences and, until recently, served on the board of Special Olympics South Africa.
