Opportunity Details

The client is seeking an Advocacy Director with 3 to 5 years of experience in supporting organizations with policy advocacy, public relations, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have a track record in developing and delivering advocacy campaigns to raise awareness of the work done by Active Disability Ireland. Building and maintaining relationships with key policymakers, government officials, and stakeholders to advance advocacy objectives is essential. A passion for increasing access to opportunities for people with disabilities in sports and physical activities is also required.
This voluntary position involves a commitment of approximately 15 days per year, including board meetings, performance reviews, and external representation. Meetings with the Board will be a mix of in-person and online. Candidates must be located in Ireland and the term of office is 3 years, with the possibility of renewal for a second and third term. All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed according to the client's Finance and Administration Policy.
