Now that the retained executive search industry has reached the fifty-year mark, or even longer by some counts, it is safe to say that the profession has reached maturity. Largely starting as a by-product of management consulting just after World War II, executive search has since grown into a global consulting industry with annual revenues of over $10 billion.
