As Controller at Acertitude, Zoe leads the firm’s full-cycle accounting function, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll and benefits, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting. She plays a critical role in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the firm’s financial operations. Zoe partners closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and partner compensation modeling, while coordinating with external tax advisors and maintaining key banking and vendor relationships. She is also focused on strengthening automation and enhancing reporting capabilities to support informed, data-driven decision-making across the firm. Prior to joining Acertitude, Zoe spent five years in China working in academic environments and gained public sector experience at the American Consulate in Shenyang, where she worked with the U.S. Commercial Service under the American Trade Administration. She earned an MBA with a focus on corporate social responsibility from Northeastern University in Shenyang and holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from High Point University. Outside of work, Zoe enjoys spending time with friends and family, tending to her collection of 100+ houseplants, taking her two pups to the dog park, and working toward her goal of reading at least two books each month.
